February: Pick Now!

Here’s month two of my new Pick Now Calendar. It’s such a quick way to see what’s in season, making it easy to pick the best produce at the best time. My hope is that this can be a good little resource for you at the farmer’s market, grocery store or even tracking down winter citrus online. Just by choosing what’s in season you have a simple, seasonal way to make fresh, flavorful food.

There are a couple of ways to use the calendar.

First, click anywhere on the February map above to view a full size version. You’ll be able to click-thru to multiple recipes featuring seasonal produce. As we continue on through the year, I will keep adding to the library of resources.

Second, there’s a pretty printable version (see the link below) that you can put up on your fridge or help guide you through the grocery store or farmers market. Everything may not be in season in your particular locale, but my hope is that you’ll be enticed to seek out great, in-season produce and perhaps try something new.
