Because the Mexican culture is such a huge part of our Santa Barbara community, I don’t even consider “Mexican Food” to be international cuisine. I feel like Mexican food is just our…food. With that in mind, here is a list of Cinco de Mayo fare along with my favorite complementary drinks.
The Superbowl is upon us! Here at Casa Rice, we are expecting about have about 12-16 guests over to watch the big game. This year, I’ve decided that I actually want to watch the game (truly, a novel idea), so I am serving everything family style and cooking most of it in advance. This is what I am cooking up for this year’s Superbowl Sunday:
I start by chopping all the secondary ingredients first, before slicing open the avocados. This little trick will yield a brighter green dip. Be sure not to over mix, as you want to taste the chunks of avocado.
