This recipe is an old standby of mine, not just because it is so quick and easy to throw together, but because you can use any combination of ripe summer fruit.
I always know summer is coming when our beloved mulberry bush is bursting with deliciously ripe, sweet and sometimes tart, fruit. This mulberry syrup uses up what we have in the garden and it feels like such a treat served over iced sparkling water.
A quick stroll through my garden — this summer we are enjoying many varieties of tomatoes, stone fruit, herbs and greens, and anxiously awaiting arrival of eggplant, corn, yellow heirloom bell peppers and more! Editing and Motion Graphics by Matt Walla.
This cobbler recipe was adapted from Jacques Pepin’s Fast Food My Way, a cookbook that is a great resource for easy and quick entertaining.
