I’m currently lusting over this basket ricotta cheese from Bellwether Farms. And like most recipes on the site, it’s all about combining well-chosen, in-season ingredients to create simple, delicious food…it just takes a “few good men” to make for some pretty happy women.
It’s perplexing that the colorful (red, orange and yellow) bell peppers at Trader Joe’s right now taste fantastic; I can’t figure out how this summer staple is so good right now, but I’m going with it.
On that note, here’s my plan for Labor Day brunch…

With a little effort today and tomorrow, a well-stocked panty, an abundance of party wine, and a flourishing garden, I know I can pull it together.
